HOW TO USE YOUR TAMPER-PROOF TAX DISC HOLDER

STEP 1.

Carefully peel off the tax disc holder backing by cracking along the line to expose the adhesive front of the holder. Place on a flat surface with the adhesive facing up.

STEP 2.

Apply the BACK of your tax disc to the centre circle and ensure a firm bond.

STEP 3.

Remove paper backing from the transparent plastic disc by cracking along the line. Centre this over the disc and align the tab over the arrow on the holder. Carefully apply the adhesive side of the transparent disc to the surface of the tax disc. Smooth down firmly, paying particular attention to the outer edge. No attempt should be made to remove the plastic disc at any time during fixing, as this will damage the tax disc and you will be charged for a replacement. Once enclosed, the disc will be permanently bonded to the holder.

STEP 4.

Place the adhesive side of the disc holder onto your vehicle windscreen, and smooth down gently to display the tax disc

APPLYING FOR A TAX DISC REFUND

If you need to return the disc to the DVLA for a refund, carefully remove the holder from the windscreen and trim around the edge of the disc with a pair of scissors. Attach to a V14 form (Refund a Vehicle Excise Duty), available from main Post Office branches and DVLA local offices.

TO REMOVE THE HOLDER FROM THE WINDSCREEN

Simply pull the tab gently at the position marked by the arrow, and slowly peel the holder from the windscreen. In cold temperatures, use the car heater to warm up the holder before attempting to remove the holder from the windscreen.
